Photovoltaics is a very promising option , although still present a high cost for its implementation and low energy efficiency of existing commercial photovoltaic ( around 17 % ) when compared to other sources of energy generation. However, offers advantages for being a clean energy source , and its installation does not damage the environment and in plants or hydroelectric power plants . This work aims to propose a small central PV generation uninsulated to be installed on the roof of a residence with a single phase supply in order to study the technical requirements and costs for implementation , and analyze its viability according to the criteria of energy efficiency. The equipment that makes up the system, the installation requirements, based on monthly consumption of a residence with single phase supply will be addressed; sizing the PV system according to the roof area available for installation; parameters for interconnection with the utility system of local power distribution, and finally the financial viability in terms of energy efficiency, taking as compared indicators of consumption and expenses generated by the traditional system of residential power.
