dc.description.abstractThe Differentiated Hiring System was established to help the realization of public works necessary for the RIO 2016 Olympic Games, FIFA’s Event "Confederations Cup 2013", and "World Cup Brazil 2014 ". This article has aimed to present the main differences between The Differentiated Hiring System and Law 8666/93 from the point of view of Engineering and, through the analysis of innovations and problems of the DRC relevant to this focus. For this purpose, bibliographic and documentary research that pointed out that the main innovations of the contracted variable remuneration and the possibility of integrated hiring was performed. The research also pointed out the main problem of The Differentiated Hiring System, uncertainty in the budget when the integrated contracting.
