Attentive to the growth of the protestant faith in Brazil in recent years, and the need that mass media outlets have to capture this audience, this work comes with a proposal to do a study, inspired by the Discourse Analysis, of how the conversion process and the experiences of Brazilian Protestant faith were portrayed in Gina character in of the Soap Opera "Amor a Vida", making a historical overview of protestant religion and its implementation in Brazil, and the inclusion of this public in of the Brazilian media so far. We can see a differential representation of this segment in Gina character that did not stop the usual stereotypes, but rather, has focused on private experience of the character, thus the Walcyr Carrasco's character has established itself as a landmark of the approach of Rede Globo with the Brazilian evangelical segment.
