Resumen
This research it aims to understand the construction and the relationship of the Harry Potter’s fans with the saga, the cultural object, and the relationship of the fan in the creation of fanmades, furthermore describing this ways of consumption and production like expressions of taste (HENNION, 2010, 2011) and individual performances (EHRENBERG, 2010; GOFFMAN, 2009). This work discuses both the fan culture, relating with consumption and material culture and with participation culture and ways of production, as the fan by the theory of performances of taste. As a methodology, it is proposed by a biographical approach through life stories, since while talking about Harry Potter with eight fans, from unknowing to love, from consumption to production, with those who are close to the story, it could be investigated the relationship of the fan with Harry Potter and the relationship of making fanmades. Therefore this analysis intended to explore the statements by three axes of analysis: similarities between biographical narrative, consumption behaviors and material culture, making fanmades. In this way, it was possible to extract as logic of performances of taste, a demonstration of involvement; characterization and propagation. The first logic was observed by the engagement of the fans with the narrative, both by the consume and the production of content. The second one was noted by 'wearing it' and 'exposing' yourself as a fan of Harry Potter making the use of objects coffered granted of value. And at last, the logic of performance is recognized by the fanmades itself which assisted the development of new faces in the magical world of Hogwarts and kept the story alive.
