dc.description.abstractThis monograph Specialization on Educational Management has as its theme the Head Teacher and the Democratic Management. Thus, it has as a general objective to analyze the work of the school principal to build a public, autonomous and participative school, considering the perspective of Democratic Management. For this study, which is characterized by being a qualitative research case study type, were listed some specific objectives: to analyze the process of choosing the managers in the public educational institution and its implications for the construction of quality education ; understand and demonstrate the importance of ongoing training of directors and public school administrators for effective quality management and consequently improving education, watching through questioning if there is a community integration with the management team and school and investigate how the management team city schools and / or region reacts against proposed challenges as put into practice the law, conflict resolution between school and community, maintaining an active school board, if you can or try to follow the precepts of a democratic management. In this bias, it also analyzes the principle of democratic management in line with the role of the school principal. It can be concluded that the particular characteristics of managers have a strong influence on school construction management, in its general functions such as planning, organization, management and evaluation.
