Resumen
Preschool education is the initial level of basic education, with children 0-6 years of
age, in day care centers or preschools. Physical education is getting more and more
space in schools, and this is also happening in kindergarten, where it develops the view
that the body is the primary means of child dialogue with the world and with those
around her. This study aimed to portray the practice of physical education in two
Municipal Early Childhood Education Schools: the EMEI Happy Child, and the EMEI
Magic and Knowledge, highlighting the classes with students from four years old. The
methodology consisted of observations of physical education classes, in those classes
and a questionnaire administered the three teachers of the two schools. It was possible
to see what actually happens in Physical Education, the surveyed groups. Classes taught
by teachers of early childhood education, no training or expertise in Physical Education,
where each, based on their previous knowledge, provides physical activities for their
students. Through the study, it can be noticed that the teachers surveyed are providing
their students, physical and recreational activities during class, however in most
observations, there were activities circuits, repetitive and without the possibility of the
child's intervention. Classes of Physical Education for Early Childhood Education,
should be learning moments, but at the same time free, so that the child can spark your
creativity and autonomy.
