Arquivos municipais: a gestão das informações arquivisticas

Abstract

This work aims to investigate the management of archival information in municipalities of Rio Grande do Sul, from the assumption the contribution of the institutionalization of municipal archives and performance professionals. This is a descriptive, qualitative study, whose technical procedures to characterize it as a case study. This research had as its object of study the 496 municipalities of Rio Grande do Sul, being selected only two cities: a city that has formally established the municipal archives and the performance of a professional archivist, and other county which has not been formally established file nor a professional archivist. Data were collected through a questionnaire sent by email to the respective prefectures. Building on this research, it was possible to know the main aspects regarding the management of archival information in the prefectures Gaucho, and the fact that the files on the municipalities.
