WhatsApp no contexto educacional: uma revisão sistemática de literatura

The present work seeks to understand how the communication app WhatsApp has been used in the school context. In order to do this, the main types of study that have been carried out on the subject in the last five years are explored. which is the area and context and what can be explored about a whatsApp tool in the educational context. The methodology used was the systematic review of literature, based in Kitchenham (2004), which seeks to present a fair evaluation on a given topic. With regard to data collection, taking into consideration the inclusion and exclusion criteria, ten studies on the subject were found, in the selected journals and events. The results showed that, little by little, the WhatsApp application has been explored in the educational context. Through the analyzed studies it is noticeable the attempt to insert the application in the scope of education. Since the tool can be used in different areas and levels of knowledge, there are several possibilities for analyzing experiences about the use of the application in the educational field, making studies on the subject increase, a deeper understanding of the use of the WhatsApp tool in the area of education.
