dc.description.abstractThis paper examines the technical and economic viability of two distributed generation projects, one wind project and another photovoltaic project, designed to meet the needs of a rural property, connected to a concessionaire in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. The objective is looking to find the most suitable design ahead the concessionaire normative, equipment characteristics and purchase cost, installation and maintenance. This was accomplished using data from suppliers that offers these solutions, and standards regulating the concessionaire connection, calculating generation estimate for each system and using financial tools of economic analysis.
