Desafios da gestão escolar: uma análise de duas escolas da rede pública de ensino do município de Ibirapuitã/RS

Abstract

This work aims to analyze and describe the current challenges that school managers encounter in the context of public schools, and to perform this analysis, two schools of the public school network of the municipality of Ibirapuitã / RS were surveyed, being a school the Municipal School of Primary Education Leonel de Moura Brizola and another of the state education network, called the Saldanha Marinho State High School. Thus, the present research presents a historical resumption of the concept of school administration and from the 1980s on the concept of school management, as well as the instruments for conducting a management based on the concept of democracy and participation, as well as the challenges that these managers face in school practice. The research uses a qualitative approach, a case study, analyzing two schools and using for data collection the questionnaires applied in these schools. Noting the lack of financial resources in the schools surveyed, as well as the lack of interest of the students, and the difficulty with the participation of the parents in the schools, it is considered of paramount importance the presence of a manager capable of stimulating the collective conviviality, where all participate in school decisions, as well as seek joint solutions to address the challenges faced by these institutions.
