This article discusses the importance of Information and Communication Technologies (TIC) as a didactic tool in the teaching-learning process of students in Early Childhood Education, highlighting the problem of how pedagogical mediation can be done between educator and student, based on the playfulness and technology. With this purpose, a descriptive research is carried out, aiming to analyze if, in the school context, the use of TIC, in the case of the digital slate, can support the teaching-learning process of the students of Early Childhood Education, since The learners are also active subjects and responsible for their own learning. The methodology adopted was based on the qualitative and descriptive research, and the data were generated from the participant observation of the researcher teacher, recorded in a class diary. The result pointed out that the digital slate, triggered a process of construction of various students' knowledge, in the perspective of a playful and meaningful learning, contributing in the motor, cognitive, emotional and social development of the child. Also, it is worth emphasizing the importance of the use of TIC by increasing students' interest, participation and motivation, more meaningful learning and a productive and dynamic classroom.
