dc.description.abstractThe present paper is the result of studies and reflections on my teaching as a preschool teacher in a public institution of the municipal Ijuí – RS. After performing a historical process of teacher and discuss some issues arising from my professional career, I prepared an action plan with the objective of proposing free and structured play to contribute to the learning and development of cognitive, social and emotional children. The activities were analyzed using the theories about play and teacher mediation in children's play in a kindergarten school.
