Resumen
This research's main goal was to analyze the Southeast of Brazil's websites of the
state public records, as well as the marketing campaigns of their products and
services through archival actions marketing. I selected the archives of the states of
Espírito Santo, Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo due to the high rate of
development of informational technology and communication (ICT) in these capitals.
These public institutions such as the archival ones selected here hold the social
commitment to disclose as well as disseminate the information in their collections. My
project focused on the dissemination of information conducted through the websites
of the selected archive institutions. The methodology was an exploratory and
qualitative description accomplished through archival research as well as theoretical
literature. The data was collected through a form based on the General Guidelines
for building websites of archival institutions of the National Archives (CONARQ). In
addition, I analyzed the functions of informational, promotional, instructional,
reference, research and communication, performed by websites and proposed by
Amaral and Guimarães (2008). The results of the research are limited due to the
website's gap in fallowing the CONARQ requirements as well as the functions
mentioned above. However, my project recommends the enrichment of the content of
such website, once these requirements and functions are met besides of making of
the variety of tools available on the Internet, such as social networks.
