dc.description.abstract | In the quest for more quality in education, in order to have more investments by government agencies, there is a need to balance the improvement of financial results and the better quality of education. In this way the laboratories of Higher Education Institutions should seek for an efficient management. The objective of this work is to analyze the contributions of the Management Excellence Model to the management of a Higher Education Institutions laboratory and the relationship between the ABNT NBR ISO/IEC 17025 standard, which is implemented by the laboratory under study, and the Management Excellence Model itself. This way, an interview with the members of the laboratory was carried out and the evaluation of the laboratory was performed through the Management Excellence Model. It was possible to verify at the end of the work that only with the evaluation of the Management Excellence Model of 250 points it was not possible to identify all the problems that the laboratory faced and that the standard ABNT NBR ISO/IEC 17025 contributed to obtain a satisfactory score in the Management Excellence Model. | |
