This article describes the process of developing the serious games Going Abroad using the Unity engine, which uses the scrum methodology to support the project management. To improve the game design, theoretical and methodological aspects were studied and applied during the development process. In this research, we propose a case study in order to design two game levels of Going Abroad. This is a proposal of a serious game under construction by NuPEAd research group. The actions planned inside the project allowed the programmer to effectively develop the game, and to implement the client requirements, which is propose a serious, playful and engaging game, to complement the process of learning English. Initial results suggest that the scrum methodology is effective as a methodology to the management of a research project, even though adaptation were necessary to complete the execution of the teamwork.
