A crise dos anos 80 e a busca da estabilização as experiências das economias argentina e brasileira

Abstract

The inflation control has always been one of the most important macroeconomic policies. It also has its importance in economic integration, since those policies help to framing the country and make it easier to integrate with other countries. In this work, we will study how the macroeconomic policies to fight inflation were applied until the stabilization of prices happened in the 90s for the MERCOSUL main economies: Argentina and Brazil. We will show the crises experienced by these countries, that caused their hyperinflations happened in the 80s, and the reversion that happened in the 90s, as well as the social consequences of the stabilization
