dc.description.abstractThe present article studies the relevance of the use of the digital media for better comprehension of text meanings, in the teaching of history, this study is supported on the digital media, in the 6th grade of Middle School. This research aims to verify the relevance of the utilization of the digital media in the education like a complement to the traditional textbook, it has the motif to enrich and to facilitate the work developed by the educators. The school and the teachers need to conform to the continuous progress of the use of the new technologies, that bring the increasing inclusion of the utilization of the digital media in the school everyday. Although it is necessary to look for different and unkown ways to allay the new technologies of the information and the communication to the pedagogical practices, it is becoming evident that the technologies contribute significatively to the process of teaching and learning, therefore the insertion of an eletronic media enables the access of a greater number of information, besides they evoke the educator interest, intensify the production and the revenue resulting in more productive and interactive classes.
