Resumen
The objective of the study was the understanding of Continuing Education in Physical Education. Methodologically, the study is developed by a bibliographical review, with the objective of searching for information and concepts on the topic Continuing Education for Physical Education teachers. Continuing Education is all the training that the teacher possesses after his initial training, where he provides a knowledge about his professional action, as the improvement of his pedagogical work. Based on the literature review, we found that many authors defend Continuing Education, showing that this is an inseparable practice of the school, and that it should give this support to teachers, helping them in the process of appropriating knowledge for their students. However, other authors do not agree on how Continuous Formation is appropriate for teachers, since most of the time it does not have a meaning. Part of each teacher wants to do their Continuing Education, however, many professes do not seek it, for several reasons: lack of appreciation for the profession, low salary, excessive hours and do not have the incentive of the school. Physical Education teachers can not be left out of this process of Continuing Education because it is a discipline that deals with the body culture of movement and that is increasingly growing in subjects and contents to be discussed with their students.
