Resumen
Objectives: To describe food consumption markers in two years old children and to verify possible relationships with the presence or absence of risk factors for child development. Methods: A prospective cohort study that monitored 35 mother-infant dyads from one month to 2 years of age. The following instruments are used: the Form of Markers Food Consumption, the Food and Nutrition Surveillance System, the Clinical Indicators Risk for Child Development, the PREAUT gride and Autistic and the Modified Checklist for Autism in Toddlers. Being the three instruments for the early detection of psychic risk. Results: Most of the children consumed breast milk (60%), fresh fruits (82.8%), vegetables or vegetables (62.8%), beans (82.8%), sweetened beverages (74.3%), filled cookies, candy or treats (62.8%) the day before the interview. The evaluation between food consumption and psychic risk indicated higher percentages for unhealthy eating at two years for infants who presented risk, although there was no statistical significance. Conclusions: The children in the study presented a high percentage of unhealthy consumption at two years of age, although there was no significant statistical correlation with psychic risk, a high percentage, especially cases of risk for autism, presented inadequate food intake.
