Efeito da estrutura macromolecular na atividade catalítica de sistemas híbridos

In this work the catalytic activity of hybrid structures, formed by metal nanoparticles (gold or palladium) stabilized by different polymers, was studied. A set of seven different polymers: PEO113-b-PDEA50, PDEA70, PDEA60-b-P(DEA-co-DVB7), PDEA60-b-P(DEA-co-EGDMA2), PEO100-b-PPO55-b-PEO100, PEO113-b-PG2MA30-b-PDPA50 and (PPOEGMA)x-b-(PDEA)x were used in order to obtaining hybrid polymer@MNP systems; in which the metal core was synthesized in the presence or absence of NaBH4 as reducing agent. The characterization of the obtained nanomaterial was performed trough dynamic light scattering (DLS), UV-Vis spectroscopy, and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) techniques. The catalytic activity was evaluated using the p-nitrophenol reduction to p-aminophenol, monitoring the decay of its absorption on the the UV-Vis range. The data obtained demonstrated that the reducing agent, the macromolecular structure, as well as the metallic core, can play an important role in the catalytic activity of the polymer@MNP hybrid systems.
