dc.description.abstractin this study we focus on continuing education. The objective is to evaluate the Brazilian scientific production of nursing, in what refers to continuing education. Methodologically, this is a qualitative, descriptive research, type of bibliographic review. The results evidenced the capture of nine articles, with emphasis on the theme of permanent education to the detriment of continuing education. Although these articles have different assertions, the primary objective is the empowerment and development of people. Therefore, it is concluded that Permanent Education is a way to build new spaces of knowledge, which meet the need for integral care and professional qualification.
