The production systems in the consolidated Nesting Santa Julia has negatively impacted on the sustainability indicators of agroecosystems. The physical degradation, chemical and biological soil, added to the drainage of wetlands and contamination of surface and subsurface are the main problems caused by in appropriate land use. The resolution of these problems through the soil conservation management. The activity of dairy cattle is the main source of income for 73% the settled families, but is also responsible for water contamination, because it has no environmentally sound treatment and storage. Through individualized questionnaire, data were from the herd, milk production system and determined the amount of manure produced in intensive grazing system, adopted by most farmers from the settlement. This study was performed to measure the volume in order to scale structure of processing and storage of these wastes according to type of management adopted and respecting the environmental regulations. To point the possibility of using waste from dairy cattle, we determined the potential of manure fertilizer and time of return of investment in storage structures.
