The present work has as a research theme the democratic management and the participation of the school community in the identification and resolution of problems. The objective is to promote a space of action-reflection for the strengthening of the democratic management of the School of Special Education São Francisco de Assis. The research, inspired by the pedagogical intervention, seeks to promote the participation of the school community, to identify situations of everyday school life and to think about proposals for collaborative resolutions. Qualitative research was carried out in the special education school involving the participation of those involved in the context. For this work, the authors' bibliographies were used mainly: Paro, Libâneo, Oliveira, Toschi, Filippin (2013) and Lück (2009) among other. It concludes that through work, the institution tries to develop a democratic and participatory management, calling the school community to participate. In order to obtain support for this affirmation, the activity of the Participatory Planning was carried out and then evaluation of this. Parental participation and institutional organization (receipt of decisions and news by all) are the two major situations to be resolved, based on the guidelines of Participatory Planning.
