| dc.description.abstract | The world of work is going through major changes due to technological innovations. These innovations require from the worker an adaptation and updates towards this increasingly competitive world. In a fast way, these changes are beyond human capacity, resulting in a series of consequences, both musculoskeletal and psychosocial. In the musculoskeletal consequences, we can find complaints of pain and limitation of movement, these caused by muscle tension or muscle shortening. Therefore, the present study aimed to evaluate the range of motion and posture in the cervical region, on workers in the administrative sector of the Central Library of the Federal University of Santa Maria. The sample consisted of 13 servers of the Central Library, who went through two evaluations, one pre and other post kinesitherapeutic intervention, composed by postural and goniometrical analysis of the vertical spine and the head. As for the main results, they were significantly obtained, showing improvement in range of occipital flexion, and significance, with the deterioration of right and left turns. In the postural analysis, it was noticed a slight improvement, but the latest was not significant. | |
