Thus, considering the importance and the influence of the PCN to Physical Education in the initial grades, as well as the importance to the pedagogical support, methodological and planning of Physical Education classes, this study aimed to verify the influence of PCN to the plans and content developed in Physical Education of the fourth grade of Elementary School. The sample consisted of six teachers in the fourth grade of Elementary School in the city of Nova Hartz, RS. A questionnaire with eleven open questions was used as a tool of data collection and analysis of the data content. Through the observed results it was found that most teachers were women, formed in Full Degree in Physical Education and they had few time of performance in teaching. The contents developed were in line with the proposed PCN, but there is no contemplation of all content, with the absence of the themes of fight and knowledge of the body. However, the PCN represent to the teachers a contribution to the planning of lessons, theoretical framework, a reference to the work plan and methodology to be followed in the development of content.
