dc.description.abstractThe average polytechnic education is part of a proposal by the educational administration of the state government of Rio Grande do Sul of restructuring of high school. The implementation of the polytechnic started in 2012 and will arrive to thirds years of high school in 2014. From the current experience of the researcher, with reporting by education professionals and students, all involved in this process, it was found that there are schools that are facing difficulties in implementing this new proposal. In this context arises the need for democratic reflection on: What are the challenges that managers of state schools in the Rio Grande do Sul are facing in restructuring in high school? Thus, was realized an exploratory research using questionnaires application, where collected data were analyzed from a quantitative and qualitative manner. With that, this research has the overall aim to identify the difficulties these facing schools in high school restructuring process. Among the main problems to be overcome are: lack of autonomy in the preparation of school pedagogical projects, lack of continued training to put into practice the high school polytechnic and impediments to develop interdisciplinarity. Most of the difficulties was found in both schools surveyed, which signals a reassessment of the strategies practiced in the restructuring of high school process.
