Integração das mídias na formação e na prática docente: um estudo a partir de uma escola estadual de ensino fundamental de Mata/RS

The integration of media, in education, provides grants to teachers to improve teaching practice
and to enable a contextualized and meaningful learning for students. In this sense, this article
presented the results of research conducted through the use of questionnaires to teachers of
the early years (1st to 5th grade) of Elementary School Florismundo Eggres da Silva, Mata -
RS, in order to find strategies to effect significant changes regarding media in the educational
process. For this, quantitative and qualitative researches were realized that investigated six
teachers in this institution. First, a questionnaire was applied to investigate the use of media by
teachers in their teaching practice and if there is investment in continuing education of these
teachers in relation to media in education. After analysis of these data, it felt the need to know
exactly how they integrate these tools in school activities. Thus, it was found that the teachers
surveyed use some media in their teaching and highlighted a lack of investment in continuing
education teachers regarding the inclusion of these tools in the teaching and learning process.
However, it is known that there are some federal training courses for teachers in progress in
this area or open positions, but it is believed that what is lacking is more widespread in schools
about these courses and also encourages and supports of the management team. Another
alternative for teachers to feel more prepared to integrate media in educational practices,
mitigating such "fear" and "unprepared", is the implementation of workshops in schools on the
proper use of media resources in education.
