The present research had as an objective to know the contributions of continuing education offered by PNAIC for mathematical literacy of students in literacy cycle in a municipal school of Agudo / RS.The problematic that guided this study was:How important is the pact as continuing education for the literacy teacherand what is the role of the Pedagogical Coordinator Manager in this process by the search for mathematical literacy at the end of the Literacy Cycle? This study aimed to understand the implementation of PNAIC at the School, analyze the use of the studied educational courseware and, analyze and compare the results of indices related to mathematical literacy.The research has a qualitative approach,in a study of case. Were objects of study the literacy teachers, from 1st to 3rd grade of Elementary School and the pedagogical coordinator, as well as the researcher, because she is set in such a reality.For the data collection it was used instruments as participant observation, the questionnaire applied to the Literacy Cycle teachers and documentary and statistical analysis.The data analysis sought to go beyond an early analysis of the reports but bring contributions through the pedagogical coordinator manager work in the grounds of the data, but an in-depth understanding and interpretation of the facts.With this study was possible to understand the importance and the contributions of the continuing education of teachers in mathematics literacy process and the changes in the searched school context.
