dc.description.abstractThe environmental subjects originated from partner-cultural and political-economical factors, and their solutions demand positioning of the society through the creation of values, and action starting from these values. In this research we worked with the representations of the deaf ones as the Environmental Education, through a to do pedagogic with students of the School of Deaf of Santa Maria - RS. In the objectives we looked for to analyze the existent social representations related to the environment, to offer the acquisition of new knowledge regarding the environmental education and to represent the gradual construction of these new knowledge. In this interdisciplinary research, the theory of the social representations was used as reference through the texts, speeches, drawings and pictures, and other accomplished activities. The students possess representations of Environmental Education that prioritize the elements of the nature (rivers, forests, animals) and your preservation; the social subjects are also mentioned, initially in smaller emphasis, however with the course of the research they begin to win larger importance.
