dc.description.abstractAchieving the increased reliability of the production system boosts the quality and profitability of companies. To do this, organizations need to rely on an effective methodology of maintenance. The bakery is a specific type of organization that is one of the largest industries in the country, however the maintenance applied to this sector is little known and studied. Thus, this study aims to evaluate the feasibility of application of Reliability Centered Maintenance in a bakery in Santa Maria/RS. The study of maintenance applied to the bakery sector want through an interview applied identify the level of maintenance of the bakeries in Santa Maria/RS; apply MCC practices in one of them and identify the critical factors for the success of that application. The tools applied in the selected bakery were the FMEA and the decision logic tree, the first one being more difficult to replicate in the bakery due to its complexity. The critical factors in the introduction of MCC practices in the bakery are related to the data collection process, the application itself and the characteristics of the bakery.
