Different approaches are the treatment of human motivation in the workplace. As a result, this research work is concerned with the degree of motivation Warrant Officer and Sergeants of a Military Unit of the Brazilian Army, in relation to the characteristics of the job, the organizational variables and the variables of the work context. To get this data was used as an instrument of a questionnaire survey called JDS (Job Diagnostic Surve) developed by Hackman and Oldham (1975). With a total return of 75 respondents, can be infered that, in general, the militaries of the Regional Park Maintenance of the 3rd Military Region, in relation to characteristics of the position have greater satisfaction with the variable meaning of the task (grade in which the job has noticeable impact on others) and on the other hand, the staff is less pleased with the feedback from work (the degree to which employees receive "feedback" about the effectiveness, quality and quantity of their performance at work). Regarding the employment context, there is a greater degree of satisfaction with job security and in return, less satisfaction with the possibility of career growth. It is inferred that the first finding may be due to the nature of the work being developed by the Brazilian Army, while the second, is considered a negative reference for graduates. The latter received the second lowest level among all the variables. Finally, we analyzed the organizational variables, where the military proved to be dissatisfied with the variable in the justice system of promotion, because this was the one with the lowest degree among all the variables. That said, it is important that an appropriate treatment variables that received a negative grade for servers, as well as the maintenance of those receiving positive degrees of satisfaction.
