O processo de inclusão do aluno com altas habilidades/superdotação (AH/SD) no ensino superior

The present study of the graduation course in Special Night Education, linked to the
Education Center of the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM) has the general
objective to investigate the process of inclusion of the student with high abilities /
giftedness at the beginning of UFSM Higher Education. Therefore, a qualitative case
study was chosen. As a data collection instrument, a semi-structured interview was
used to investigate the inclusion, challenges and potentialities of the academic
environment. The present research was carried out with two academics identified
with high abilities / giftedness who entered higher education, in the courses of
Archivology and Social Sciences Bachelor. Initial training is of paramount importance
to enhance the professional's behavior, b oth in terms of the knowledge to be
acquired and in the exercise of their autonomy. And this path to be followed during
higher education is one of many challenges and confrontations. As the analyzes
result, several clashes for inclusion in higher education were identified, among them
the relations with peers and teacher training, emphasizing the knowledge and
information about these about high abilities / giftedness. This study aimed to
investigate the process of adult inclusion in higher education, recogni zing the
challenges of this process and reflecting on them, so that inclusion is discussed and
practiced.
