dc.description.abstractIn view of the educational scenario that we are experiencing today, the present research aims to know and analyze the historical process of the school pedagogical supervisor, as well as its current function in the school space. In general, the pedagogical supervisor is responsible for organizing, planning and executing the pedagogical proposal with the faculty of the school. In this study we also propose a reflection on school management and the transition from management to school management: the pedagogical influences that defined these changes and school pedagogical supervision in the historical process. Realizing the importance of the work of the pedagogical supervisor in the educational space we developed a study on the subject called Pedagogical supervision, some reflections, where we weave ideas about this professional, the difficulties encountered to develop the proposed actions and how it is seen in the school space. To complement our research, a case study of a qualitative approach was carried out, with data collection through a questionnaire carried out with the management team, teachers, students and parents of a State School of Elementary Education in the municipality of Santo Augusto - RS. To conclude, the data analysis written by the participants was done, in which it was well accepted and managed to transmit their ideas and opinions on the topics addressed in which it was being complemented with the theoretical reference. The main results were clear the importance of the pedagogical supervisor in the school, supporting, seeking to improve teaching and assisting teachers when necessary, even when it needs to perform other functions within the school space.
