We performed a comparative study with male patient, 61 years with a diagnosis of ischemic heart disease in post-cardiac surgery. The patient was included in a cardiac rehabilitation program for a period of 2 months of training with a frequency of 2 times per week, for about 60 minutes. Before and after the implementation of the program the patient has undergone two evaluations consist of a physical examination, Quality of Life Questionnaire (SF 36) and Walk Test 6 ', and evaluation of respiratory muscle strength. Data were compared after the implementation of the program. This survey was conducted from August to September 2009 within the home environment. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of a home program of cardiac rehabilitation. After applying this training, it was observed that an increase in functional capacity, increase in respiratory muscle strength, decreased from baseline in blood pressure and heart rate.We conclude that the training program was safe and effective, and provided an improved functional capacity, respiratory muscle strength and improved quality of life.
