Resumen
The research aimed to understand the way how it is the management and organization of a State School of Não-Me-Toque (RS). This study was based on a qualitative methodology, the type case study. In order to understand the perceptions and points of view of the school community about the School Management, who are the managers present daily at school, and the importance of School Management in the educational process, interviews were conducted with members of the management team, faculty, staff, student's father and school students. The data were interpreted by simple categorization, being close to the content analysis. As a result of the research, we can see that the school community recognizes the importance of school management and managers in the school routine. But the anti-democratic stance still remains very striking in our society, tying all the responsibilities of the school management over the director or the management team. This way, not being responsible for the results achieved by the school. While everyone believes that democratic governance is essential for building an egalitarian society, it, in practice, still faces many difficulties that must be overcome. So we need to give space for discussions on the subject and awaken political consciousness of future generations. This is another challenge for education process.
