Resumen
The perineal hernia is a frequent disorder characterized by caudal displacement
of abdominal or pelvic organs in the perineum. It is prevalent in middle-aged
and old male dogs, sexually intact, and may be unilateral or bilateral. In cases
which the urinary bladder is throttled in the sac, it should perform a celiotomy to
evaluate and indicate partial cystectomy, if devitalized tissue is avaliable. It is
safe to remove up to 75% as long as preserve the trigone. This report describes
the perineal hernia repair and partial cystectomy in a dog.
