This research presents handmade textiles patterns studies and printworks digital located applicable to women's accessories, referencing the Chimarrão, a remarkable cultural symbol of Rio Grande do Sul. The project serves a qualitative approach and used as instruments to collect data document analysis, field research and direct observation. The research on the subject describes the path of the gourd from information present in their botany to the cultural dynamics of mate. The references apply to the visual design for printwork have become viable possibilities for the production, preserving the manual skill of the craft and, at the same time, using current technologies, such as the transfer sublimated. The results are presented in a mini collection of female handbags, containing six products in a contemporary style and with an emphasis on eco-efficient processes for reusing materials.
