dc.description.abstractThe present paper aims at demonstrating the importance of the teacher being the author of learning objects as well as analyzing its possible contributions to the process of teaching and learning. Facing the characteristics of this study, the qualitative approach has been chosen as the method of research. The strategy adopted was a case study by means of the elaboration and application of a WebQuest for students of the seventh year of elementary school involving the concept of Negative Numbers. As a tool for data gathering a semi-structured questionnaire consisting of both open and closed questions, which enable the analysis of the level of interest from the students along with the comprehension of the concepts approached in the WebQuest. Through the data collected, it was possible to observe some advantages and didactic-pedagogical possibilities of using a Learning Object, as well as the importance of the involvement of the teacher in the elaboration of such digital materials.
