This present paper aims at analysing the historical path up to the current reality regarding the pharmaceutical working environment based on fundamental principles and rights of people according to the 1988 Constitution from the Federative Republic of Brazil. A especial focus on the pharmaceutical working environment is the main challenge proposed by this paper, since such working environment can be considered different from others. The reason for this differentiation is on the amount of necessary staff meetings, involving multifunctional professionals who are supposed to develop their labour tasks according to numerous regulations strictly attached to this work field. The connection between the comercial and healthy areas is fundamental for the development of pharmaceutical activities; however, practitioners (pharmacists, chemists, nurses, technicians, clerks, secretaries, cashiers, maintenance people, manipulation assistants) belong to different unions. The specific legislation especially regarding this commercial activity can be considered legitimate to "all" the professionals working in the pharmaceutical field, including those who do not belong to the healthy field.
