dc.description.abstractThe paper initially make a discussion about the work of literature child Cinderella Surda, as in Pounds, showing also that there is a line that suggests the presentation of a different character. Since the paths of the search perpassam by analysis of their narratives, their characters, their language, and the relationship between the text of the socio-cultural. Bringing interesting thoughts on the subject, where demand show the social representations and the marks of deaf culture of the past that are still rooted in inculcadas in speeches of deafness, deaf as representations of the mad, stupid, sick and disabled, who can not be erased, but lead us to believe that can be modified. Only thus the deafness can be seen as a different culture, where they interact with the world from a visual experience, and its instrument of communication to the language of signals and arise the need of deaf have access to artifacts such as this, in its language, the language of signs, for access to knowledge, literacy and culture, giving a new look to some of these subjects.
