Aimed to highlight the scientific production factors that generate pleasure and suffering at work of nursing teachers. This is an integrative review conducted in the databases Latin American Literature in Health Sciences, International Literature in Health Sciences and Bibliographic Data on Brazil Nursing area in the period from August to September 2015, using as Descriptors: nursing, pleasure, sorrow and teachers. The sample consisted of four articles without time frame. The main pleasure factors in the work of nursing faculty are teacher-student interaction and the enhancement and professional recognition and the main factor is the suffering of interpersonal relationships. Highlight the factors that generate pleasure and suffering in the work of nursing teachers can help ensure that these workers can reframe their experiences of suffering in the pursuit of pleasure in teaching.
