This article is developed from a research project dedicated to investigating the influ-ence of the use of social networks in education in the context of the city of Panambi and Dois Irmãos das Missões in the Northwest of Rio Grande do Sul. The field re-search it was applied to 163 educators, and has a quantitative approach in order to measure the acceptance and use of social networks by teachers as a pedagogical tool. To obtain the data a questionnaire was used with closed questions with options on a Likert scale. The study starts from the theoretical assumption of social-constructivism that considers social interaction as fundamental for teaching-learning, and proposes connectivism as a theory of learning for the Digital Age. In addition, the article highlights two reports of the role of teachers, as a case, using social net-works SnapChat and Facebook as a pedagogical tool, which made it possible to de-velop curricular contents with dynamism, cooperation and motivation.
