The number of connections with micro and mini distributed generation in Brazil has been increasing rapidly over the last few years, especially in the case of the solar photovoltaic source, which represents the greater part of the installed capacity. The main milestone for this effervescence around the use of these renewable sources came with the publication of the 482 Normative Resolution, later updated through 687/2015 and 786/2017 resolutions, which established the conditions for the access of these systems to the grid and brought the model of energy compensation. Based on this scenario, and considering the constant variations in the prices of the electric energy tariffs, the study of the impact of the use of storage systems, with the use of batteries, together with a micro or mini generation is a very interesting option. That said, this study aims to support the alternative of distributed generation, adding parameters of energy continuity with the use of storage elements in the system, in order to verify the technical and economic feasibility of the implementation of these technologies, as well as to analyze the attractiveness of the services of arbitrage and peak shaving, in order to quantify the possible reductions of energy consumption and demand costs present in the energy bill. Thus, we propose the analysis of these parameters from the point of view of residential, industrial and public power consumers, in order to identify the most promising sectors for the development of these systems.
