dc.description.abstractThe aim of this project was to determine if low-power electric vehicles for urban transportation are capable of achieving autonomies similar to combustion-like vehicles, and then of adopting them for the transport of people, similarly to what is currently done, by the internal bus of UFSM. Several simulations were performed using the FASTsim software, analyzing different variables, such as weight and chassis, and observing how low power vehicles react to such modifications. It was also observed that it is not possible to adopt electric vehicles without a change of culture, since at present moment their autonomy is not comparable to that of a combustion vehicle.
