This article aimed to examine the overall educational experiences, social and family that marked the trajectory of life of a student identified with characteristics of high skills / superdotação, as well as the characteristics that most stress in this subject. Thus, we tried to highlight the life experiences of this, stressing the key features that show whether and how the stimulation of their skills and their creativity is important for their development potential. The search followed a qualitative approach, the kind of case study. In order to collect the data, some instruments were selected, among them: it was a semi-structured interview with a student who participates in a program for enrichment, and a semi-structured interview with a family member, in the case, the mother. Thus, it is the design of intelligence referred to by Gardner (1995, 2001), believes that the so multifaceted. Studies of Renzulli (2004), Alencar (2001), Alencar and Fleith (2001), cooperating with research theory, with discussions and problematizations the theme of high skills / superdotação. Upon completion of this research, you can highlight how important is the monitoring of students with high abilities / superdotação, both in identifying characteristic, as in its pacing. Moreover, he points out is how we need the stimulation of students with these characteristics, considering that, not being discouraged to learn. We find then that there are many barriers that prevent both the flowering of creativity, and other characteristics of these students.
