| dc.description.abstract | The present study was elaborated based on the research with the the directive team of the Municipal School of Basic Education Vicente Farencena, Santa Maria - RS, on the IDEB/2011 results in which had an average higher in the initial years, 7.2, and on the final years, 5.4. The research objectives were: to investigate what are the actions taken by the school management (directive team) to facilitate the learning process of its students, in order to exceed the national IDEB average; hear the directive team regarding the planning and execution of actions / activities / projects that facilitate the learning of students; reflect on the school's Political Pedagogical Project (PPP), the actions that are planned, developed by the school that contributed to such success, a quality education. The theoretical foundation was based on several authors, among them: Lück (2001, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2011, 2012), Paro (2000), Vieira (2012), Castro (2009). The methodology adopted was the quantitative and qualitative approach, using case study with semistructured interview with the the directive team of the school, observation, research on PPP of the school and quantitative data on the IDEB. As results of the research, it was noticed that in the school studied, democracy is experienced in pedagogical and social praxis, democratic construction of the PPP, as well as the actions / activities that facilitate students' achievement are planned and lived with the participation of all segments of the school community, such characteristics that help promote the quality of education provided by this school. | |
