Programa de desenvolvimento sócio-ambiental Reviva - IJUÍ/RS: um diagnóstico das limitações e contribuições na construção de políticas públicas de reciclagem

Abstract

The socio-environmental development of a region is one of the premises so that society can live in harmony with nature without assaulting it or degrade it irreversibly. This thesis aims to address program of socio-environmental revive, the city of ijuí / rs, where a diagnosis is developed from various perspectives, from the contributions to the limitations of the program, as well as how the same contribute to the construction of recycling policies. That is, an approach involving the definitions and considerations for the selective collection, sorting and organizing the recycling of materials, the manner of collection and transportation of recyclable solid waste to the local delivery of the municipality of ijuí is done and the consequences of the processes recycling through environmental education are discussed. After this systematic analysis of the reality of separate collection of ijuí / rs is observed that, both by history and expertise accumulated by the presence of scavengers assumes a strategic role in defining the direction of the integrated management of municipal waste, contributing and participating in the design of your settings, your organization and its management. This research, although it focuses on specific aspects, helps to clarify the strategic position of the collectors and how to organize selective collection in order to strengthen it. Environmental education underlies all this discussion, because the environmental development is above all a question of citizenship and behavior change.
