dc.description.abstractInformation and Communication Digital Technologies have already been used in different contexts and came to show that when applied in pedagogical practice have much to offer in contributing to teaching-learning process. There are demands when adopting technology in education, not only from ability and skills of teachers but also from promotion and encouragement of its use by educational institutions. Therefore, our study aimed to identify the skills, ways of use and resistances in applying technologies in education in its different levels and understanding how the ICDT are introduced and worked on theacher´s pedagogical practices at FAT – Faculdade e Escola, a private school from Tapejara-RS, Brazil. For that matter, we conducted an exploratory research with a quantitative and qualitative character, by taking an online questionnaire together with 33 teachers from Preschool, Elementary School, Middle School and High School. Our results showed the majority of teachers already uses ICDT in classroom with a positive feedback from students, but not yet in an integrated figure. Our investigation also pointed some resistance from teacher on accepting ICDT in their practice and revealed that teacher´s continuing education for the proper use of ICDT in the classroom is essencial. Thereby, our study has showed the significance on understanding the needs from teachers and educational institutions and takes us to consider the obstacles to be overcomed by both teachers and school management in order to transform the school settings, making possible to embrace the ICDT based pedagogical practices and the social commitment we all have in education.
