dc.description.abstractThe research lists the media television and fashion realizing the soap opera characters as showcases where viewers start to want to resemble these characters. The study seeks to understand in what way it‘s given the representation of showcases characters in soap operas, from analyzes of contexts in which they are inserted, what are their profiles and also if character issues and social context influence this "boom" that it‘s fashion. The results were analyzed based on cultural analysis, combined with the analysis of content and textual turned to television media that are part of the entertainment industry, making it possible to trace more suitable features with soap operas and, in this way, notice that showcases character can reinforce or exterminate certain stereotypes, what as accessories combined with strong personalities result in positive return by part of the female audience contributing for the consumption, strengthening the cultural materialism and architecting new identities.
