This paper aims, in view of the profound changes in society, analyze the collective action of the school community as institutional strengthening factor and promoting citizenship. In this sense, it becomes increasingly important to understand not only the (PPP) Political Pedagogical Project, but also other aspects that make up the construction process of participation and implementation of democratic management, especially with regard to participation effective family. Thus, this research seeks to know the reality of a state public school in the municipality of Sobradinho / RS, as regards the participation of families in the actions envisaged in the PPP, and aimed at institutional strengthening and promoting citizenship. Theoretical about administration, school management and Political Pedagogical Project concepts will be discussed, as well as their applications in everyday research institution. For this purpose, a qualitative approach with technical procedures for case study, through the application of questionnaires to managers and board members will be held. From this structure it was possible to verify that the family membership to the actions of Political Pedagogical Project are still incipient, needing to overcome historical realization of democratic participative management paradigms.
